Every Polished & Put-Together design is one-of-a-kind, a time-consuming but creatively satisfying approach. I take special pleasure in creating custom designs that reflect the personal style and preferences of the wearer.

Exploring and creating with my sizeable collection of beads feels like a private indulgence. Each time I design, different beads, stones and findings reach out to me and show me what they were meant to become.

I put together unexpected combinations of colors, textures and rhythms in my designs, redesigning a piece as many as a dozen times until it feels right to me. My work incorporates vintage glass beads, vintage Swarovski crystals, one-of-a-kind lampwork and fused glass components, especially those including dichroic glass, and semiprecious stones and beads. These materials are rare or one-of-a-kind, like my jewelry designs.

Whitney Anderson:
Designer Jewelry

Whitney Anderson took a shine to designing jewelry when she was introduced to the rare art of creating pieces of jewelry from hand twisted wire. But she has always exhibited her own unique style and was drawn to fashion at a very young age. Whitney moved to New York City to pursue her interest in the fashion industry and earned her degree in Fashion Merchandising from The Fashion Institute of Technology in 1993.

After exploring the fashion industry in New York, Whitney turned her focus to jewelry. Returning to her hometown in Pennsylvania and with the support of her husband, JT, and her son, Jake, she ventured into uncharted territory and created a line of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and other novelties. In 1998, wired, a unique jewelry experience was created. Having enjoyed continued success at arts festivals, wired is now being brought to you through this online boutique for convenient shopping.

The concept of wired designs is distinctive by virtue of the hands-on technique used in making each piece. All designs are made in sterling silver and each link is carefully hand turned to create a specific style. All wire used is of the highest quality to ensure superior strength and durability beyond that of conventional silver chain. This same material is also used in all of the blackened designs in which the sterling silver has been oxidized to give the piece it's unique patina. Semi-precious stones and other materials are used to accent an assortment of styles. Whitney enjoys creating each handmade designs, turning the wire herself and choosing materials that complement each piece.
